On Sunday, May 18, the capital will host the largest free walking festival event "Toyota Ējimas". Almost 5 thousand walkers: families, friends, colleagues and communities will set off on routes of various lengths - 10, 25 and 20 km. This is an opportunity to spend time actively and discover the most beautiful places in Vilnius - from Žvėrynas to Pavilniai Regional Park - completely free of charge.
In the Toyota Ējima village and at the rest stops along the routes, participants will be able to enjoy a variety of free entertainment and fun activities: Paralympic sports, a 360° selfie camera, first aid training, and participants will be able to try out the most innovative mobility solutions presented at the Paris Olympic Games. Children will be captivated by educational games, aikido, bubble fiesta, walking on tiptoes, as well as fun music and a fun atmosphere. Toyota Ējima is a true spring celebration under the open sky.
Children, adults, and seniors will be invited to symbolic challenges and awards, and corporate teams with special starting numbers will participate in a real team adventure - from steps to strengthening unity.
Will invite you to move at your own pace
The organizers of Toyota Walk invite everyone to move at their own pace: everyone will be able to choose from three different length routes: 5, 10 or 25 km. The 5 and 10 km routes are also suitable for wheelchairs, so families with small children and people with disabilities can participate.
All routes start and finish at Independence Square, near the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, and the entire Sunday journey will take you through the most beautiful places in Vilnius: Žvėrynas, the Neris River coast, Antakalnis, and the Pavilniai Regional Park, which is still undiscovered by many.
Only one intersection will be closed.
The event organizers joke that the constant skeptics can relax, because Vilnius drivers will hardly notice the sporting event, which will bring together thousands of people, as only one intersection will be closed. On May 2025, 18, from 6 a.m. to 20 p.m., vehicle traffic will be prohibited from the intersection of Vytautas and A. Mickevičius streets, on the Žvėrynas bridge, on the part of Gedimino avenue from A. Goštautos street to Gynėjų street and on the part of A. Goštautos street from A. Tumėno street to J. Jasinskio street, with entry prohibited from side streets as well.
The event is open to everyone - both individual participants and groups, and registration is free.
On May 18, Toyota Ējimas will start at Independence Square in Vilnius.
