"Thank you, Iceland" is back and invites you to celebrate the 700th birthday of Vilnius together with Vikings Reykjavik and Kyiv. Let's raise for freedom on the Icelandic meadow on June 16 at 17 p.m. on Iceland Street, Vilnius.
For the twelfth time in Vilnius, resounding shouts of "Thank you, Iceland" will echo, with which we thank Iceland for its historical courage and friendship to Lithuania. For those who have forgotten, we remind you - Iceland was the first country in 1991. February 11 recognized the Independence of the restored Lithuania.
As every year, the goal is not only to thank Iceland, but also to introduce Lithuanians and Vilnius guests to Icelandic culture, music, etc. After all, many people know where this small volcanic island is located, but few can tell more about its people and their traditions.
