On Saturday, May 13, the European Night of Museums will take place for the 19th time events, initiated by France The Ministry of Culture. Lithuanian museums are joining this campaign for the eighteenth time. We, the Money Museum of the Bank of Lithuania, are no exception. This year we will offer a particularly rich program dedicated to both the history of money and financial education, and the events will take place not only in the evening, but also throughout the day.
The museum is open from 11 a.m. until midnight, and during the event we will pay tribute to the past, present and future. During the tours, we will talk about money, and in a special lecture, we will talk about the history of litas (which would celebrate its thirtieth anniversary this year). The lectures will tell not only about today (we will teach you how to protect yourself from fraudsters or counterfeit money), but also about the future (you will learn everything about the possibilities of the digital euro).
By the way, a visit to the Money Museum that day can also make sense. During the event, you will be able to support the still struggling Ukraine.
