"Gatve vivos" invites you to Užupis! We have the opportunity to be the first to see an exceptional art project in the Užupis district - thirteen well-known Lithuanian artists accepted the challenge to create the largest gallery in the country in the staircases, in the settlement "Užupis krantinės". We are sure that the results of their work will really surprise you.
Sculptors, painters, ceramists, graphic artists, photographers - all creators have united in order to place art not only where it is usually seen, but in a non-traditional space - in the stairwells of residential houses.
The "Užupis krantinių" gallery in the stairwells is decorated by Eglė Ridikaitė, Kristina Norvilaitė, Vaida Keleras, Kunigunda Dineikaitė, Tomas Martišauskis, Nerijas Baublis, Mingailė Mikelėnaitė, Monika Gedrimaitė, Justina Kildišytė, Vita and Gediminas Kalinauskės (vienetinis.lt), Tada Šimkaus ("Live graphics ") works. In the central square of the settlement, you will see the unique fountain of the blacksmith Raimonds Vaitkūnas ("Vilniaus kalviai").
We invite you to visit "Užupis krantine" (Polocko St. 11) on June 17 together with the guides of "Gatve gyvos" and see the works of creators up close, listen to the stories of their origin, get to know the artists and their ideas.
