Most of us have forgotten the past holidays, but not the Republic of Užupis. Until now, there is an undecorated Christmas tree next to Angelo in the main square of Užupis.
Today, the Republic of Užupis announces that 11 h will happen event, during which the Christmas tree will be decorated and the start of Mardi Gras will be announced.
"The Mardi Gras must come on time. Campfire smoke must be real. We have to hang up the toys ourselves. We also have to put down the Christmas tree ourselves", - announce the people of Užupa in the invitation to the event.
When should you decorate the Christmas tree?
Traditionally, the Three Kings symbolize the end of Christmas. To this day, some people believe that it is necessary to decorate the Christmas tree on January 6, otherwise it can bring bad luck.
