Sunday, May 25, in Vilnius in the town hall square global charity event starts event "The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride 2025". During it, stylishly dressed classic, vintage and retro motorcycle enthusiasts will unite for a common goal - to draw attention to men's health issues.
"It's no secret that mental disorders and prostate cancer are linked." cancer "...is one of the most stigmatized areas of men's health, so with this event we aim to educate the community, raise awareness of these problems, and encourage open discussion," says Artūras Gutauskas, head of the DGR initiative in Lithuania.
Arvydas Skernevičius, a long-time patron of the event, emphasizes that one of the main goals of the initiative is to change the stereotypical attitude towards motorcyclists. “We want to show that motorcyclists are not aggressive speed fanatics or rough rebels from movies. They are community-minded, responsible people who care about the environment. We are glad that this event is a celebration not only for those riding, but also for spectators. Classic, retro and exclusive motorcycles give the event elegance and charm – spectators always have something to feast their eyes on,” says A. Skernevičius.
The event was first held in 2012 in Sydney, Australia, and today it has grown into a global initiative, taking place in more than 2025 cities around the world by 1000. Throughout its existence, The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride has already raised millions of dollars for men's health research, and its scale grows every year. This event will be held in Lithuania for the eleventh time in a row and promises to be the largest in history.
