December 1 11 o'clock "Gatves gyvos" invites you to a free excursion-hike in Lower and Upper Paneri.
"December 1 we repeat your favorite excursion-hike around Paneri. Why both an excursion and a hike? Hike - because we will walk a long distance (about 10 km), it will take us about 3:30-4:00 hours, and at the same time we will take a 15-minute break halfway to rest and enjoy a sandwich or coffee. An excursion - because, as it should be, we will stop at the most interesting objects and tell you everything we know about them", reads the invitation of Gatve gyvos.
WHAT WILL WE SEE?
– one of the most impressive technical monuments of Lithuania – the Panerai railway tunnel;
– the Paneriai Memorial commemorating the events of World War II;
– concrete sculpture park;

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
* dress comfortably. We will cover about 10 km, where there will be several hills and forest paths. If the weather is bad, prepare accordingly;
* we suggest taking a thermos with tea or coffee and a light snack. Halfway to one of the most impressive objects, we will take a 15-minute break. It will not be possible to buy something locally;
* a searchlight will be very useful in one place, if you have one - take it with you;
* the route is not circular. There is public transport (bus, train) from the end point to the start point, so it is not necessary to walk back.
