This march opened the European Mobility Week in Vilnius.
"Since spring, every month we have encouraged Vilnius residents to try a different means of transportation, and on the occasion of the European Mobility Week, we decided to organize a walk where all those who move harmoniously and their vehicles would come together in a friendly manner. A large crowd of citizens who chose to move around the city without a car gathered. There are really many alternatives for movement in the capital, and Vilnius residents are more and more willing to discover them. It is even more fun that they already choose these alternatives not only as a way of spending their free time, but also as a daily means of transport - for example, they go to a meeting at work or to a sports club not by car, but by scooter, bicycle, in the evening they no longer drive to the city center, but walk on foot", says SĮ "Communication servicesDirector Modesta Gusarovienė.

Like-minded people traveling in different parts of the city took different routes to the mass march organized by "Susiasiekimos paslogos" SA. Those riding a bicycle or scooter covered 6 kilometers from Žirmūnai beach to the Seimas along the Neris cycle path. Those who preferred to use their legs or roller skates moved 3 kilometers from the stage of Vingis Park. Public transport lovers started the morning at the "Press House" stop, waiting for a special bus to take them to the hike.
After completing their chosen routes, the participants of the "Forgive, car" march gathered in the square near the Seimas and gathered in a joint column and moved towards Lukiški Square. After covering one kilometer on Gediminas Avenue on foot or on wheels - even in baby carriages - everyone received award medals and plunged into the fun.
Event Lukiškiai square takes place on Sunday until 16 p.m., so you are welcome in the city center before you can participate.
Professionals who have organized an open skatepark invite beginners to skateboarding lessons, and event participants can try their hand at an interactive task by riding a special bike and trying to light a traffic light, win modern Lithuanian-made reflectors for scooters, and make an accessory from old skateboards.
