On Friday evening, the Vilnius Ethnic Culture Center invited the people of Vilnius to the traditional Autumn Equinox celebration on the Neris embankment near the Karalias Mindaugas Bridge. The event marked not only the Autumnal Equinox, the true beginning of autumn, but also the Day of White Unity, which is commemorated in 1236. the Battle of the Sun.
Every year, the Autumnal Equinox celebration reflects a different theme: it has already become a tradition event this year called to remember baptisms - special wooden tombstones typical of Western Lithuania.
