This weekend at the exhibition center "LitexpoThe third annual exhibition of computer game culture "GameOn" will be held in Vilnius, where trends in video games and new technologies will be presented.
The organizers of the exhibition, which starts on Saturday, promise more than 40 presentations on the topics of the game industry, new technologies and social media. Visitors will be treated to one conference with a lighter content - "Everybody Plays", and in another, game developers will share insights about the game industry.
The exhibition will also host a Cosplay competition, which organizers say will be international.
"This year, even a third of all contestants come from Latvia. We also have cosplayers from Belarus, and the event will be hosted by cosplay event veteran from Estonia. Since we are holding the competition in English, we hope that the number of foreign guests will be even higher next year," the coordinator of the competition, Ingė Štalytė, said in the announcement.
The eSports finals will be held at the exhibition on the weekend. The finals of the League of Legends Cup will be held on Saturday, and the semifinals and finals of the CS:Go tournament will be held on Sunday.
This year, GameOn will feature live performances of music from video games. Especially for this performance, the main composition of the VDU Chamber Orchestra will be expanded. Expanded to a symphonic composition, the orchestra will play works from cult games: World of Warcraft, Bioshock, Journey, Minecraft and many others.
