Already tomorrow, Friday evening, loud shouts will resound in Vilnius for the eleventh time Thank you, Iceland!, with which we thank Iceland for its historical courage and friendship to Lithuania. For those who have forgotten, we remind you - Iceland was the first country in 1991. February 11 recognized the Independence of the restored Lithuania. The date of the event, which has already become a tradition, was also not chosen by chance - on June 17, the country's residents will celebrate their national day.
As every year, the goal is not only to thank Iceland, but also to introduce Lithuanians and Vilnius guests to Icelandic culture, music, etc. After all, many people know where this small volcanic island is located, but few can tell more about its people and their traditions.
