Do you know where Washington Square is located in Vilnius? And why and who decided to name it that way?
In short - Washington Square, located between White bridge and Lukiški Squares, is a sign of respect from all of us JAV – to our ally, which never recognized the occupation of the Baltic States and firmly believed that Lithuania would be free.
Come July 19 at 16:00 p.m. to Washington Square to celebrate with freedom loving people, American food and music!
Programme
15:00 p.m. Music and food court opening.
16:00 p.m. Official opening of the event: Flag-raising ceremony, national anthems (performed by the US Air Force Jazz Band "Wings of Dixie" and Lithuanian army orchestra).
16:30 p.m. Fun music concert (Wings of Dixie playing Americana, as well as Deeper Upper and others).
19:00 p.m. DJ Rimas Šapauskas will mix.
