Vilnius is taking over the relay of the Northern European (Nordic) championships from Vaila (Denmark), where the swimming competition ended on Tuesday. On December 6-8, the Northern European Diving Championship will be held in the Lazdynai pool.
As many as 80 athletes from Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Lithuania will participate in the international diving competition held in Lithuania for the first time.

They not only give our athletes the opportunity to appear on the international stage, but also attract top-level athletes to our country. After the jubilee, 50th European Youth Swimming Championship held in Vilnius in July, I have no doubt that the capital will welcome the divers into the water with the same hospitality," says Saulius Binevičius, president of the LTU Aquatics association.
