St. Jacob's carillon is the largest and most modern not only in Lithuania, but also in the Baltic region. It was designed, cast and installed by Royal Eijsbouts, one of the world's oldest and most famous bell foundries in Asten, Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Some of the carillon bells have names that commemorate the history of the Dominican Order. St. Dominic is dedicated to the founder of the order, St. George - to the founder of the church and monastery, St. Christopher - for the city of Vilnius, St. Jonas - for the restorer of the order Br. To Jonas D. Grigaičius, St. Philip and James - for the title of the church, etc. The largest - the bell of the Mother of God of Lukiškii - weighs 3360 kg, the smallest - 8 kg.
