in the Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Center LITEXPO, started the event "Furniture. Interior. Design 2018" exhibition "Art for the interior". During it, the works of twenty-eight well-known Lithuanian authors were presented. Vilnius Gallery, which organizes the exhibition "Art for the interior", invites you to see the works until October 13, and on Saturday, don't miss live meetings-discussions with ten artists participating in the exhibition.
The international exhibition "Furniture. Interior. Dizainas" is being held for the 24th time, while the "Art for Interior" exhibition is being held for the first time this year. According to the organizers, it should be of interest to anyone interested in art and interior design.
"The fact that people are looking for ways to decorate their existing homes is completely normal and welcome. But we invite you to pay attention to the fact that it is the work of art that can dictate the tone of its installation for the future living or working space. The latter solution is, of course, more daring and concentrated in the hands of creative architects and designers. We would like the specialists mentioned in Lithuania to revive this practice, which has caught on in many other places in the world", said the organizer of the "Art for interior" exhibition on the opening night, right after the announcement of the winners of the "Detail" competition for architects. Audrius Klimas.

The curator, art critic dr. Ramutė Rachlevičiūtė told the guests that in the exposition you can see the works of very different authors, as well as works of different genres. "Since Lithuanian art is very diverse, the exhibition presents a certain section so that the viewer can find landscapes, views of Vilnius, abstractions, and postmodern works. You can choose the quality-radiating photographs of Raimundos Paknis or Arūnas Baltėnas, or the geometrical optical compositions of the textile artist Danguolė Brogienė, glowing with the brightness of colors. There are works for both monumental and chamber interiors," he said Dr. R. Rachlevičiūtė.
