Saturday and Monday is not only the last chance to see the patron saint of Lithuania, St. Kazimierz's masterpieces from Lithuania and Italy, but also to participate in the last tour of the exhibition for free.
The core of the exhibition under the auspices of the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė, the President of Italy Sergio Mattarella and the Archbishop of Vilnius Gintaras Gruš - for the first time in the history of Lithuania, masterpieces of sacred art, reliquaries, paintings and documents from the Medici Treasury of Florence, St. Lawrence Basilica archive, Palermo and Cefalu museums, testifying to the devotion to St. Kazimierius in Italy and having exceptional importance for the cultural history of Lithuania.
At the exhibition, it will be possible to admire the XNUMXth century. the silver St. created by the famous Florentine goldsmith Massimiliano Soldani Benzi. Kazimierz's reliquary, to see the document of Vilnius bishop Mikalojaus Steponas Paco proving the authenticity of the relic, the work "St. Coronation of Casimir", a painting of the saint belonging to the Cefalu Mandraliska Cultural Foundation, other valuable exhibits.
