March 28-29 Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress CenterLitexpo" at the annual exhibition "Career & studies in Lithuania 2024" Vilnius University (VU) will present the latest and most relevant information about the study programs offered by VU, invite you to innovation and career spaces.
This year, the VU stand will accommodate three areas in one place: study consultations, innovation and career. In the study consultation space, representatives of 15 faculties will advise students interested in studying at VU, answer all questions related to studies at VU, share their study experience, and tell about what knowledge, abilities and scores are needed to study one or another study program.
In the innovation space, visitors to the exhibition will be able to see unique innovations created by six VU departments. VU Faculty of Chemistry and Geosciences will invite you to learn about the use of drones in pollen research. VU Faculty of Physics will present products and demonstration devices developed and manufactured by Lithuanian laser industry companies, demonstrating their operating principles. In addition, examples of solar cells produced in Lithuania will be demonstrated, visitors to the stand will be able to try to tune the laser themselves.
VU Life Sciences Center will invite you to learn about enzymes, drug production and bioremediation. And the VU Faculty of Communication will present smart technologies for cultural heritage monitoring, tell about how photojournalists work in war zones and give participants the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the equipment used by photojournalists.
The VU Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics will introduce the participants to the bat-inspired ultrasonic distance measuring sensor and explain how bats use echolocation to navigate and hunt in the dark. It will be demonstrated how an ultrasonic sensor emits high-frequency sound waves and measures the time it takes for the waves to bounce back, determining the distance to nearby objects.
VU Faculty of Medicine will invite you to try virtual reality simulators simulating the dentistry process at the innovation stand. In addition, the participants of the exhibition will be able to see mannequins of the human body, designed to learn the functions of digestion.
Study and career counselors will be waiting for students and teachers in the career space, who will answer all the questions about admissions and studies and give advice on choosing a career path. Representatives of the VU Lifelong Learning Center will also give advice in this space, who will talk about the possibilities of the center.
At the fair, it will be possible to hear several VU announcements.
