The best Lithuanian and international contemporary art, only three days, once a year. October 7-9 return all to "Litexpo" is invited by the art fair "ArtVilnius'22", whose organizers present a long-prepared program of art galleries, institutions and artists.
The theme of the art fair "ArtVilnius'22", which is being held for the thirteenth time this year, is ecology, with special attention being paid to the genres of installation and sculpture. Fair guest - Ukraine, whose artists' work will be presented in various segments of the program.
"This year, we very much invite everyone to ArtVilnius and ask you to support Ukrainian artists, help them survive this difficult period and purchase works of Ukrainian artists, which you can donate to museums and leave for future generations as a symbol of our unity," said the head of ArtVilnius and Lithuanian Diana Stomienė, President of the Association of Art Gallerists.
Litexpo in three main halls and an outdoor area, totaling 12 sq.m. m area, 000 art galleries and institutions, 70 artists from 320 countries of the world will participate in the program of the fair.

At ArtVilnius'22 stands, visitors will meet their favorite galleries Okapi (Estonia), Māksla XO (Latvija), "Nivet Carzon" (France), "The Rooster gallery" of Lithuania, "Meno parkas" gallery of the Lithuanian Union of Artists (LDS), "Baroti", KADS, "Galerija Kristina Norvilaitė", "Terra Recognita", Gallery of the Union of Artists, Galleries of the Vilnius Academy of Arts and others. For the first time, Leipzig Galerie Intershop, Riga Gallery Look!, Kaunas Ministry of Art and Vilnius Tumos Gallery will participate in the fair.
The organizers of "ArtVilnius'22" are happy with a large group of galleries not only from the big cities of Lithuania, but also from other regions: Panevėžys will be represented by the Panevėžys City Art Gallery and the LDS Gallery "Galerija XX", Dusetų art gallery, Alytus "Ars Et Mundus", Molėtų dailės gallery, Palanga "Ramybės Galerija", Šiauliai LDS gallery "S_in.", VDA Telšiai art gallery, "Vilkamirgė" gallery from Ukmergė.
The program of Ukrainian galleries will be represented by the regular participants of the fair "Tsekh" (Kiev | Vilnius), already seen at the fair are Lviv's "Ya Gallery", Kyiv's "Art14" and "Ra Gallery", the new names of the fair - Kyiv's "Shcherbenko Art Center" and for Ukraine this year 59- "Naked Room Gallery" representing the Venice Biennale.
Project area
This year, the ArtVilnius Project Zone was handed over to the famous contemporary art curator and writer Valentino Klimašauskas. According to the curator presenting the joint project "Hot Bodies", the development of the different ecological themes of the fair he conceived transformed this year's Project Zone into an open and engaging "city within a city" ecosystem.
Krakow's Museum of Contemporary Art MOCAK will present the work of recently deceased Queer Feminists Natalia LL and Valentina Miorandi. In the area of the contemporary art center, we will find a new stage installation by Robert Narkaus, currently representing Lithuania at the Venice Art Biennale, "Sužeistas vējas", curated by Neringa Bumblienė. The Lewben Art Foundation, established by ArtVilnius'22's special partner Lewben, presents a speculative group exhibition curated by V. Klimašauskas from the perspective of an octopus "Do octopuses dream of humans?".
In the "Studies" project, twelve art doctoral students of the Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts will present parts of their practical research. Jonas Mekos Center for Visual Arts will invite you to "12 days" of Jonas Mekos' diary divided by 365 months and obelisks. In addition to original installations dedicated to the theme of ecology, the exhibition will feature a special program of video films dedicated to ecology and Ukraine.
Exhibition "Trail"
The traditional international exhibition of sculptures, installations and performances "Takas" will be held in the fair spaces, which is curated for the second year by the artist, curator and head of the VDA Sculpture Department doc. Vytenis Burok. The exhibition "Takas" will present the projects of 29 individual artists, selected from 120 applications. According to the curator of the exhibition, the "Takas", which has not spread in the halls again, will invade the Litexpo balcony as well, so everyone is invited to take a leisurely walk along the sculpture path and get acquainted with the wide creative diversity of panorama.
The exhibition "Takas" will exhibit works of a wide variety of genres - large-scale works, installations, objects, video installations, sound works, as well as Monika Dirsytė's performance. In the Litexpo field, we will find the sculptures of sculptors (among them the younger generation) Jonas Aničs, Tauros Kensmins, Matas Janušonis, Nerijas Ermins, Rytis Urbanskas, Rafals Piesliaks. Some of the authors present works that react to current world events, although this is done without commenting and indirectly - this includes the works of Žygimantas Augustinas, Severija Inčirauskaitė-Kriaunevičienė, Monika Grašienė-Žaltė, Sergei Beloaki. We will also see the synergies of installations, video and video works in the works of Eglė Kulbytė, Bionics, Agnes Pilkauskaitė, Zane Zeivate, Indrė Liškauskaitė and others.

During ArtVilnius'22, an international commission of art professionals and visitors will select the best participants of the fair - galleries, artists and works. The interactive LRT studio will host discussions, lectures and presentations on various art topics.
