The Money Museum of the Bank of Lithuania invites residents who are stuck in the urban jungle in the summer and dream about nature to get acquainted with the animals in its exposition. Here you can see the animals and birds of the world, all kinds of crawling, swimming, crawling creatures, which are depicted on the money of different countries of the world.
The Money Museum has launched an information campaign. Her tagline "Stray in the urban jungle?" Meet the Animals of the Money Museum".
"We invite visitors to visit us to get acquainted with the history of money in Lithuania and the world, to view the museum exposition and to experience interactive entertainment. We aim for residents who are ready to have fun in the city in the summer to not only count money, but also to be able to get acquainted with its diversity," says Asta Ravaitytė-Kučinskienė, head of the Money Museum.
According to her, this time animals and birds were chosen to reveal the diversity of money, depicted on banknotes and coins used and used in Lithuania and other countries of the world.
One such money is the temporary money used thirty years ago in Lithuania - vouchers. Do you know how many of the animals depicted on the fifteen coupons are included in the Red Book? How many animals have been featured on them in the three years we've been using them? Which country's 2-euro commemorative coin features the national bird of Lithuania or which animal did Zimbabwe decide to decorate its 100 trillion dollar banknote with?
The staff of the Money Museum will help you answer these and other questions during tours and educations.
