The capital is celebrating its 700th anniversary. On this occasion, the fifth Vilnius Light Festival is taking place, waiting for visitors until January 28, from 18:23 to XNUMX:XNUMX.
The theme of this year's festival is futurism. The artists who came to Vilnius from France, Canada, the United Kingdom, Holland, Spain, and Italy make us look at the world around us with different eyes.

18 installations on a compact route
The Vilnius Light Festival dedicated to the city's 700th anniversary presents 18 unique, modern works created by famous artists - three-dimensional light and sound installations, video projections, dynamic and interactive art constructions. Vilnius in the old town The light art exhibition can be viewed by walking along the festival route from Cathedral Square towards the Presidency, further to Liejyklos, along Vilnius streets towards St. Catherine's Church, Vokiečių gat to reach Town Hall Square, and after turning Savičius, Augustijonoi, Bokšto streets to reach K. Festival leaflets with a map can be requested at the Vilnius Tourism Information Center (Pilies St. 2), Vilnius city municipalities information center (Constitucios pr. 3, 1st floor). Flyers will be distributed during the festival by volunteers, who you will recognize by their bright yellow vests. They will be happy to help you with any questions related to the festival.
K. Sirvydas Square - catering area
Festival visitors who have set out to explore the celebrating city will be able to warm up and rest in the catering area located in K.Sirvydas Square. Enjoy hot drinks and snacks on January 25-28. until 23:XNUMX wheat food carts.
Traffic restrictions during the festival
The Vilnius Light Festival will take place in the capital's old town and its approaches, where traffic is not comfortable in the narrow streets, so it is best to go to the event by public transport.
