Kristupas summer festival, dedicated to curious music lovers looking for interesting things and quality leisure time surrounded by like-minded people, presents the 2022 program. Concert set tickets for the main program concerts, which will take place from July 19 to August 24, are available from today. In the courtyard of the Vilnius Picture Gallery.
"We aim to create a cozy, democratic space, showing that there is no wrong time or place for music. To reveal that music is a universal language that is easy and pleasant to understand. So, we have designed this year's program in such a way that both gourmets and amateurs will find an event that is sweet to the heart. For this, we used a large group of performers, the most beautiful spaces of the capital and unexpected formats", says Jurgita Murauskienė, the artistic director of the festival.
World-renowned talents, premieres and experiences not yet experienced

Residents of Opera Accelerator and the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra will be invited to two one-act operas in the open air - Giacomo Puccini's Gianni Schicchi (Džanis Skikis) and the premiere in Lithuania - Franz Schreker's Flammen (Flames) - led by the fast-rising trampoline star - Martynas Stakionis.
Another premiere that will amaze you with its powerful sound - Symphonic Beatles, the legendary and most beautiful works of The Beatles are performed by 100 artists and soloists - the state choir "Vilnius" with Lithuanian army orchestra. The festival will invite those looking for new experiences to go on blind dates with music - you will only know the place and time of the meeting, and you will get to know the artists and works very closely at the concert. This format will be presented by violinist Justina Auškelytė Rossi, a graduate of the prestigious Juilliard School.
This year, the Christopher Summer Festival will join the Vilnius 700th anniversary program by inviting you to a unique "Christopher's Night": St. The group of St. Laureates of the statue of Christopher. Young performers and stars of the organ world are featured in cycles popular with visitors
The "Kristupos picnics" cycle, together with LRT Klasika, this year from July 11 to 15. will introduce the young artists and invite the listeners to vote for the one they liked the most a concert. Next to the soloists, we will hear an organ and saxophone duet: Wolfgang Shroeter and Uli Kammer will demonstrate how interesting and harmonious the time-tested church instrument and the relatively new instrument of the jazz world, the saxophone, can sound.
