The seventh "Open House Vilnius" festival will invite Vilnius residents and city guests to immerse themselves in architecture and visit buildings again, this year's program includes more than 50 special architectural objects. The Vilnius open architecture weekend will take place on July 3-4.
The theme of this year's event is architecture is a feeling. Buildings can evoke a variety of feelings in us - they excite, amaze, inspire, fascinate, take your breath away, trigger a wave of memories, confuse or even frighten. Both the architect and the viewer or visitor of the building experience their relationship with the building in a unique way. "Open House Vilnius" will invite you to feel the architecture and discover what feelings the buildings evoke in us, what message the architects encoded in them, how we understand it now and how we understood it half a century ago.
"We are looking forward to when visitors and our large group of volunteers will be able to meet live and safely in exceptional architectural objects and feel the spirit of living Vilnius again. During the event, we will ensure security and comply with the valid rules of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania. We are happy that this year we will invite visitors to a traditional format event with live tours of the buildings", says project manager Adelė Dovydavičiūtė.
