"According to the data of the physical activity survey of the Ministry of Health, residents of Vilnius are among the least physically active. More than 1,5 years with breaks quarantine, of course, doesn't help either. The goal of the "Healthy Fest" sports festival is to help Vilnius residents get to know and discover their active activities and make friends with sports," said Gediminas Plokštys, the organizer of "Healthy Fest".
In one event - a sports festival, visitors will be given the opportunity to get to know most of the clubs and groups that perform sports activities in Vilnius, and practically all sports: yoga, arerobics, Nordic walking, zumba, outdoor tennis, padel, swimming, karate, boxing, etc. Also, in the message session held in parallel during the event, people will gain knowledge about a healthier lifestyle and the need to be physically active.
"This one event - a mutually beneficial exchange: visitors have an opportunity to make initial contact with coaches, find out the conditions of sports in clubs and choose their sport, and sports organizations have the opportunity to return visitors to empty clubs after the quarantine," says G. Plokštys.
