The series of concerts of the international singing poetry festival "Tai - I" in St. St. Catherine's Church this year invited to an unexpected musical-poetic excursion, and musical crews of traveling bardamobiles have already spread around the towns of Lithuania. This is how the XNUMXth "Tai - aš" singing poetry festival began this year. At the end of the week, the organizers promise even more events in Lithuania and neighboring countries in Latvia and the traditional big concerts of the festival in Vilnius St. Catherine's Church.
On the first day of the festival, lovers of singing poetry were invited to immerse themselves in the original prelude of the festival - a two-part performative musical, poetic, theatrical tour of St. Catherine's Church and the literature revived in it. This unique experience was created by multi-instrumentalist Skirmantas Sasnauskas and guide and reader Donatas Jokūbaitis. "During this traditional - non-traditional walk, the participants explored all of St. Catherine's Church, experienced its external beauty and its inner spirit. Later, the performers took the audience by the hand and led them through the stories of the city of Vilnius. The concert part featured improvisations by jazz virtuoso Skirmantas Sasnauskas and verses by Judita Vaičiūnaitė, Kazios Bradūnas, Žaks Prever, Motiejas Kazimieros Sarbievijus and other authors read by Donats Jokūbaitis.
Joint crews of Lithuanian and foreign performers have already visited Trakis, Skapiškis and Veisiejs. According to the organizers, the whole contingent of foreign performers is already arriving today from Ireland, Sweden, Finland and neighboring Estonia. The participants of the NORDIC-BALTIC SONGWRITER SUMMIT 2019 will give the audience free music and audiovisual art a concert Birštonas Kurhaus Hall.
