This summer In the old town, under the brightest stars of August, the new music festival "Untold City" will settle. The last month of summer in the capital will be filled with live musical stories, which were lovingly prepared for the festival by: Rolandas Kazlas, Ieva Narkutė, Aistė Smilgevičiūtė and the group "Skylė", Merūnas, Jeronimas Milius. Music in a place worthy of the king - in the spectacularly beautiful courtyard of VU, next to St. John's Church and the pulsating arteries of Pilies Street.
Surrounded by a starry sky and centuries-old arcades, the yard, which has a history of 600 years, is giving its unique space to popular music concerts for the first time. The "Untold City" festival will fill this place of fantastic beauty with refined sound, and will decorate the baroque masterpiece - St. John's Church and presents you with a summer evening, the impression of which will not fade for a long time.
The festival is solemnly opened by the romantic Ieva Narkutė and her specially prepared program "Rules of Summer Love". She is ready to reveal the rules of newly born love together with her best songs to you on the very first evening of August. In summer, not only the body is more open, but also the soul. Therefore, the rules of I. Narkutė's summer love are not covered up or hidden. They openly flirt and are not afraid of being misunderstood. They know: what happens in the summer stays for the summer. Therefore, do not miss the opportunity to listen, because the rules of summer love in Vilnius will be told only once.
At the "Untold City" festival, Rolandas Kazlas and "Pakeleiviai" organize the only open-air performance of the "Poetai Ateina" concert. "Poets are coming" - from those concerts that leave a mark. The tour of Roland Kazlo and "Passengers" in the cities of Lithuania with the program of the new album "Poetai Ateina" which took place in the spring, became a real discovery of Lithuanian poetry for many. With no tickets left, people called and wrote letters, with the only question: maybe... maybe there is even the slightest chance of getting into a concert- a performance where Poetry and Music meet. There will be only one such occasion in Vilnius this summer - at the "Untold City" festival.
Aistė Smilgevičiūtė and the group "Skylė" present a concert program at the festival, which will bring a lot of sweet sentiments to the listeners. The program called "10 naked moons" combines "Hole" songs from different periods, which are light, fun, summery. Concert VU is full of pleasant memories in the great courtyard and for the group itself. After all, right here Vilnius University, almost all members of the group studied and played music. "10 Naked Moons" will be a concert full of love. Warm as an August night, fun as summer itself.
The "Untold City" festival invites you to rediscover the legendary tenor Luciano Pavarotti, a singing genius who received a standing ovation from the whole world. Merūnas Vitulskis, the best Lithuanian tenor, will present the new program "Rediscovered Luciano Pavarotti" in an impressive baroque space. It will be accompanied by the Baltic Guitar Quartet. The timbre of the voice was what made Pavarotti unique, just as the unique timbre makes Meruna unique. Both of them have a natural ability to give their own color to the work being performed. "Untold City" offers you to hear what color Merūnas and the Baltic Guitar Quartet will give to Pavarotti's most famous songs.
The group Queen - a legend that does not fade over the years, but on the contrary - is discovered by a new generation of fans - gains an even stronger foundation. At the "Untold City" festival, Jeronimas Milius and a titled team of musicians with guitar virtuoso Tomas Varnagiris will tell the amazing music story of the band "Queen" live. Only a very high-level professional with vocal strength, proper range and perfect singing technique can sing Queen's songs flawlessly. J. Milius is one of the few who has all these qualities. "Queen Show" is a project that has been recognized by the audience and has been operating in Lithuania for seven years. Arrangements of Queen's most famous songs were created especially for the project, a special light show that stylishly illustrates each song.
Every week of August, the festival is ready to tell you an exceptional musical story. Choose what will enrich your summer evening. The heat of the day has already subsided, but the cozy courtyard of the Old Town is still reminiscent and filled with gentle warmth. Sit comfortably in its arms and experience the most magical musical adventure of this summer - Untold City Festival awaits you.
