Although November is still in full swing, many are increasingly thinking about the inexorably approaching Christmas period, which is accompanied by various support campaigns every year. One of them is the International Christmas Charity Fair, for which not only representatives of the diplomatic corps, but also well-known Lithuanian women have already begun to prepare, who gathered at Beata Nicholson's studio for a noble purpose.
For 17 years in a row, the International Christmas Charity Fair has been organized by the International Vilnius Women's Association, which unites Lithuanian and foreign women from the diplomatic corps, business or public organizations.
It is not the first time that well-known women of the country who care about charity have joined the initiative. This year, cookery show host and book author Beata Nicholson, entrepreneur Asta Meschino and singer Erica Jennings have been announced as Goodwill Ambassadors for the Christmas Fair.
Diana Nausėdienė, the First Lady of Lithuania, became the Patron of this year's International Christmas Charity Fair, and Birutė Vizgirdienė became the Patron of Honor.

B. Nicholson, who has participated in the charity event several times in the past, says that she especially supports this initiative and admires its idea, which unites representatives of different cultures. This inspired Beata to call more than 40 women who contribute to the organization of the Fair and start preparations for the event.
"I suggested that we all bake 50 traditional English cakes together, which we will mature until the Christmas charity fair. The essence of making this cake is teamwork and community. I think it perfectly reflects the idea of organizing the Fair", says B. Nicholson.
Representatives of Japanese, Austrian, Finnish, French, Ukrainian, Czech and other embassies gathered to bake traditional English cakes in Beata's studio.

November 30 At the International Christmas Charity Fair, which will be held in Vilnius Town Hall, everyone who wants to contribute to a noble campaign and donate to charity will be able to taste cakes that have been matured for the whole month.
According to Andrea Kedmenec, the wife of the Croatian ambassador, chairing the organizing committee of the International Christmas Charity Fair, this initiative annually inspires the public to do good deeds and provides an opportunity to help people in difficulty.
"Every year, the funds collected during the International Christmas Charity Fair are given to those who are especially in need of help. The support collected and distributed over the years has shown that the contribution of each person or organization is very significant for the quality of life of other people. Sometimes a small donation is enough, but great public involvement brings gratifying results. We believe that the spirit of kindness spread during the Christmas period will not leave anyone indifferent to the charity fair this year," says A. Kedmenec.
This year, the funds collected during the International Christmas Fair will be allocated to ten Lithuanian organizations that take care of the welfare of children, women, the disabled and the elderly.
