On February 2-5, the Kirtimai cultural center, which fosters contemporary creativity, will be rocked by the first performances of the "Intersections" project, which will be held until April events.
"Intersections" is a series of sound art and experimental music events for an audience interested in culture and new aesthetic experiences. The project will introduce listeners to sound art, experimental music and experiential interdisciplinary creativity. A traveling sound and light installation will be created and presented especially for this project, accompanied by lectures, concerts and creative workshops.
February 2 12-15 p.m. the cycle will be opened by a creative music synthesizer workshop led by lecturers Vytautas Juoženas, Mikalojus Smulskis and Nicolas Lafay. This workshop is a great opportunity to get acquainted with the creation of electronic circuits. We will hear sounds from just a few connected components, which we can change by selecting different parts. Later, we will be able to freely experiment, improve the scheme, thus creating unique synthesizers. Due to the equipment used, we will avoid smoke and it will always be possible to repair. Also, workshop participants will be able to get acquainted with analog synthesizers, explore their insides and play with them.
February 2 at 19 p.m. the opening of the sound and light installation specially created for this cycle - Kala Sound System sound sculpture.
Unique experimental sound and light installation - sound sculpture - will be exhibited in Vilnius, in the Kirtimiu cultural center February 3-5 from 12 a.m. to 19 p.m. and May 12-14. This installation will not only provide sound perception to its observer, but will also project emotions.
The first day of the cycle will complete February 2 20:XNUMX p.m. during the opening concert, in which we will hear Unfound (FI), Voingova (FI), Fell Hand (FI) ir 6P3S (LT).
Unfound (FI) - Heikki Lindgren (Voingova) ir Elias Pöyliö (Fell Hand) a collaboration in which sounds with a wide dynamic range, from harsh noise to meditative monotony, come together in improvisation and experimentation. Voingova (FI) - the aforementioned Heikki Lindgren experimental, organic ambient music combining low frequency atmospheric sounds with subtle tones of nature and urban landscape. Fell Hand (FI) - Elias Pöyliö a project where the performer, moving between a sudden cacophony of sounds and a structured rhythm, uses analog synthesizers to create noise, industrial and techno inspired by music soundscape. 6P3S (LT) – analog electronic music, performance an artist who took the name of the radio lamp.
Collective meetings will also take place during the project audio creation of the story "Vilnius behind the frame". Everyone who hears and receives sounds is invited to join!
"Vilnius for the frame" needs the sounds of the city, which can be recorded at any time of the day. The amplitude of sounds is unlimited: it can be breakfast or walking the dog, a taxi ride, a copying service company, an overheard conversation passing by on the street, a harp concert, a party in the parking lot and everything that Vilnius lives from morning to morning. Collected sounds to audio the story will be joined by Vladas Dieninis and Gintautas Rožė.
