In a special place, in the Lithuanian folk household museum in Rumšiškės, from November 4. Lithuania's largest lantern and light festival "Moon Paths" will start, inviting everyone to spend autumn and winter evenings in a fun and meaningful way.
The festival, which will take place in the unique environment of the Lithuanian folk household museum, invites everyone to immerse themselves in the magical world. Throughout the journey, visitors will be accompanied here by the guardian of the night, the Moon, who will open the gate to a magical and mysterious adventure. As you travel, you will meet mysterious forest inhabitants, fairies, angels, light sculptures inspired by Lithuanian culture and history, and, of course, the nine-horned deer, the prophet of the greatest winter holidays. And to forget at least for a while, immerse yourself in the kingdom of dreams and stay as if in a state of weightlessness, the "Forest of Stars" will invite you. More than 300 individual sculptures, laser and LED installations, and a route of almost 2 km - all this will allow you to immerse yourself in a fairy tale, feel the power of light and festive mood. This magical trip will be interesting for all family members.
"In autumn and winter, when it's drizzly and cold outside, and the evenings are so long and dark, you want light and a little miracle, so it's no wonder that light and lantern festivals have become so popular in Lithuania. The "Moon Paths" festival, which will be held for the first time in Lithuania, is adapted for everyone: both the smallest and adult family members. We are trying to create such a composition that will allow you to travel and feel the festive mood, envelop you in warmth and inspire you to spend time meaningfully in the fresh air. This year, we invite you to light the light in yourself and around you together with the "Moon Paths" festival, say the festival organizers.
"Our museum hosts the biggest festivals both in summer and winter events. Due to its unique history, exhibits and, of course, terrain, Rumšiškės has long been the center of attraction for all Lithuanian residents. We are very happy that a light festival will be held on the territory of the Lithuanian Folk Household Museum this year, inviting you to have a good time and get some energy", says Gita Šapranauskaitė, director of the museum.
Enchanting with its colors, compositions and sounds, the festival of lanterns and light "Paths of the Moon", organically integrated into the territory of the museum, creates the effect of a real fairy tale, the feeling as if we are traveling not on Earth, but on the paths of the Moon.
A magical trip for the whole family on the territory of the Lithuanian Folk Household Museum begins on November 4. and will last until February 3. The organizers invite you to buy tickets online in advance. More information on the website www.menuliotakais.lt.
