Italian cuisine is loved and one of the most popular in the world. pizza, pasta (various types of pasta), lasagna, risotto, cappuccino, Pandoro (Christmas cake) - these are just some of the key words that characterize Italian cuisine. At the Baltic food and beverage exhibition BAF this week, on November 8-10, a delegation from Italy will invite you to take a new look at Italian cuisine and will teach you how to cook not only deliciously, but quickly and healthily.
Healthy and fast - this is how Italian cuisine can be
Cassiani Giorgio, an Italian chef, professional pizza baker, participant of the world pizzaioli championships, is coming to the exhibition. The chef will present the basics of long-aging pizzas, as well as teach how to quickly bake a healthy pizza while maintaining the highest standards of taste and health.
"This year, the Italian stand will welcome visitors to the exhibition with the slogan 'quick, tasty and healthy.' When it comes to Italian cuisine, we know it's "delicious" and "healthy." After all, they practically grow and produce everything themselves: fresh vegetables and fruits, freshly pressed olive oil, the highest quality flour, etc. However, it is still unusual enough to associate Italian cuisine with the term "fast". The preparation of Italian dishes takes a lot of time, just like the process of eating. Therefore, we will present exactly this news at the exhibition: Italian, tasty and fast", says the president of the Italian and Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Ieva Gaižutytė.
According to I. Gaižutytė, the intense pace of life means that there is less and less time left for cooking, so quick meal preparation should be a relevant topic for both busy housewives and single people who have chosen an active lifestyle.
"The exhibition will be visited by experts in the field of Italian fast food, offering various pasture kind of ravioli, tortellini recipes with meat and fish, which are especially relevant these days because they are easy and quick to prepare. It will also be possible to taste fried delicacies that are prepared quite simply", I. Gaižutytė presents.
Researched the Lithuanian market
This new approach can also be applied to fast food establishments. Guests arriving from Italy want to pay attention to what menu is offered, for example, at gas stations. Therefore, after visiting Lithuanian gas stations and examining the offer, they bring news adapted to local needs.
"As in any type of catering establishment, eating habits are changing at gas stations as well. We notice that consumers are becoming more attentive and demanding of quality. Gas stations are visited by traveling families, truck drivers, patrol officers, and any of us. We all want warm and fresh, easy-to-digest food on the road," says the president of the Italian and Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce.
During the exhibition, Chef Cassiani Giorgio will present special frozen products for fast food restaurants, the preparation of which does not take long, and the quality remains extremely high. November 8th will be dedicated to the owners of gas stations in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia event, which will present special equipment and products for fast and healthy food preparation.

So we are bringing this royal majesty to Lithuania. Well, we will treat the smaller visitors of the exhibition with Italian sweets", I.
