Vilnius in the old town The five-star Radisson Collection Astorija hotel is preparing for another new stage - at the end of March, a luxurious "Aperitivo"-style bar will open its doors here, inviting Vilnius residents and city guests to enjoy not only an elegant environment, but also to pamper themselves with exclusive drinks during the day and evening.
The new bar, inspired by southern European traditions, will become the face of the hotel
Lithuanians traveling in southern Europe and city guests are well acquainted with the aperitif culture, so the new bar concept will be created in a way that makes guests feel like they are visiting a bar with friends – a place where they will want to relax with a cocktail after work, before an event, or simply enjoy the views of the Old Town in the heart of the city, sipping a morning cup of coffee, waiting for a meeting.
Marius Jakulis Jason, the owner of the hotel, where a new bar will soon open, says that Radisson Collection Astoria is constantly growing and changing: "The most important thing is always the guest, so by investing in the hotel's spaces and their renovation, we strive for an even higher level of service and comfort. I believe that the new bar will become the center of attraction not only of the hotel, but also of the entire city," the businessman shares.
The new bar will become the true face of Radisson Collection Astoria. It will not only be a place for gourmet aperitifs, but also a social center of attraction in the city, inviting you to come in and spend time with the best cocktails and snacks. The idea is to refute the old belief that hotel bars or restaurants This bar is for guests staying at the hotel only. This bar is for any Vilnius resident or city guest who wants to enjoy a warm drink during the day or refresh themselves with an exclusive aperitif in the evening.
"We plan to organize various events in the new bar space for both hotel and city guests. We also hope that the bar will become an ideal place for both business meetings and various gatherings with relatives and friends - where every guest will be able to enjoy drinks, snacks, service that meets the highest standards, comfortable and stylish furniture, and enjoy the exceptional views of Vilnius' Old Town through the large windows of the bar's veranda," says Laura Vaitukaitienė, the hotel's general manager.
The bar's interior design features hints at the hotel's historical times.
The interior of the new bar is being designed by the renowned Latvian architecture and design studio Yes.Design.Architecture, whose vision will harmoniously integrate into the updated design of the entire hotel. Along with the bar, the reception area is also being renovated, ensuring that the hotel's public spaces breathe a unified aesthetic.
"When designing the Astoria bar and lobby area, we aimed to create a space that would encourage communication, bring people together, and allow them to spend time comfortably. The central bar, accessible from all sides, will be located in the veranda area - exactly where it was during the hotel's historical existence," shares the architectural team.
The hotel will also feature a newly created lounge area, which has never been seen before. A massive, sectional sofa will provide guests with the opportunity to relax comfortably or cozy up while waiting to check in. The dark, yet subtle, shaded interior will harmoniously blend into the new Radisson Collection Astoria interior, which combines mysticism and intrigue.
"Our goal is not only to restore, but also to enhance the historical spirit of the space, giving it modernity and functionality," say the designers from Yes.Design.Architecture, who are working on the new bar project.
The official opening of the bar is planned for the end of March.
