Paupio turgus, managed by the real estate company Darnu Group, is introducing new names – three new names are joining the space beloved by foodies restaurantsOne of them – “Padre duos pepīrūs”, created according to the concept of Mexican and Latin American cuisine – is being developed by the manager of the gastronomic space herself.
According to Anželika Šiška, head of restaurant operations and development at Darnu Group, the addition of three new names to Paupys turgās will help ensure the idea that has been developed since the establishment of the gastronomic space to offer the greatest possible variety of cuisines from different countries of the world.
"We are delighted to see new names appearing at Paupis Market." We see that our visitors are always looking for new experiences and appreciate the variety offered. In a restaurant "Ryk Lys" visitors will be able to try the high-quality and increasingly popular "fish&chips" concept. Customers increasingly looking for high-quality and healthier desserts will be able to find them at "Holigans", which already has experience in this field. We have also started developing the restaurant "Padre duos pipirū", which combines Mexican and Latin American flavors - these cuisines are increasingly popular with Lithuanians," says A. Šiško.
"Ryk Lys" and "Holigans" are replacing the restaurants "Mollusca" and "Sugamour" that operated in "Paupios turgus". The latter are no longer in the gastronomic space after their manager "Saldi kava" declared bankruptcy.
The bankruptcy of the company "Saldi kava" was an unpleasant surprise, since their businesses operating here were in demand and had good turnover. From the very beginning, we took care that customers could find the widest possible variety of food at "Paupios turgus". Taking this into account, we also chose new operators - visitors to the market will still be able to enjoy high-quality fish and desserts, although the operating restaurants have changed," A. Šiško comments on the choice.
Developing his own restaurant, centered around a famous chef
In addition to the new names joining the ranks of "Paupios turgaus", the variety of cuisines will be supplemented by a new menu created by UAB "DG Horeca" (a hotel and catering company belonging to UAB "Darnu Group"). restaurant "Padre Duos Peppers". The restaurant offering Mexican and Latin American cuisine, opening today, will replace the previously operating "El Jefe" in "Paupis Market". The investment in it amounts to more than 100 thousand euros.
According to A. Šiškos, the company decided to develop the chosen concept seeing the need to fill the necessary niche of high-quality Latin American cuisine. “We believe that in order to ensure the highest quality at “Paupios turgus”, we must offer visitors the opportunity to try as many different flavors as possible. We noticed that Lithuanians love Latin American cuisine, and there is still a shortage of places serving such food with quality. We invited chef Vitalis Čižauskas to join us in creating the restaurant, who is an expert in the flavors of Mexican and Latin American cuisines and has been working in this field for 12 years. We have no doubt that visitors will be pleasantly surprised by the menu we are preparing,” says A. Šiško about the new restaurant.
According to chef V. Čižauskas, after visiting the new restaurant "Padre duos pipirū" under his supervision, those seeking gastronomic experiences will be able to discover the uniqueness of the represented countries and their bright and contrasting flavors.
"For the inhabitants of those lands, food is not just a process of survival. It combines people's love, good emotions, and passion, which lead to a perfect balance of flavors. This cuisine is characterized by bright flavors, pungency, and colors. My goal is to love guests through food. "Tacos al pastor" is perhaps the brightest and most famous Mexican street food, "Acaraje" is a Brazilian street decoration found on every corner of the city of Salvador, Panamanian style fish", Uruguayan beef tongue - guests of "Padre duos pipirū" will definitely be able to try these dishes," says V. Čižauskas about the palette of flavors offered in the new restaurant being developed by "DG Horeca".
This is not the first catering business managed by DG Horeca - the company's restaurant Burna House, central bar and Lipskio alinė operate in Paupio turgs, and the group owns the restaurant U in SEB Arena.
Preparing for the warm season
"Paupio turgus" is currently not only inviting visitors to visit new restaurants, but is also actively preparing for the warm season. According to "Darnu Group" Restaurant Operations and Development Manager A. Šiško, the summer season is planned to start on May 31st together with the already traditional Šaltibarščiai Festival, and throughout the warm season the market will invite visitors to various events.
"Like last year, this year we will again invite you to monthly children's events. We also have an active month of May ahead - we will participate in the "Street Music Days" and set up a stage for performers, and we will invite you to the broadcast of the "Eurovision" final. And at the end of the month, together with the whole of Vilnius, we will celebrate the Šaltibarščiai Festival and open the summer season," the company representative shares her plans.
Last year, the turnover of tenants of the gastronomic space "Paupio turgus" managed by "Darnu Group" reached 7,3 million euros and attracted 1,4 million visitors. Currently, the gastronomic space "Paupio turgus" located in the Paupis district invites visitors to visit 17 different restaurants and 3 bars.
