Vilnius city municipality informs that traffic will be prohibited on part of the streets of Naujamiestis due to the reconstruction works of heating networks. A partial traffic ban is planned to be introduced on Švitrigailos and Smolensk streets. Only one-way traffic is expected to be temporarily allowed in the sections mentioned below.
"Regarding the reconstruction works of heating networks from July 10 until August 14 expected changes in traffic organization on Smolensko Street. In order to ensure access to the territories from Naugarduka st. towards Statybininkų St., a one-way traffic organization procedure is being introduced," reads the statement issued by the capital's municipality.
Another traffic-limiting arch is planned on Švitrigailos street, from Naugarduk st. to Kaunas st. (In the direction of the airport). Traffic restrictions in this area are expected until August 15. Only one-way traffic is expected at this location as well.
