After the big autumn holidays, colors, twinkling garlands, wreaths of fir branches and the biggest green sedges increase in the capital. Well, what if you can't see snow outside the window yet - it doesn't stop you from letting the Christmas spirit into your heart. Stiklių, Gaon and Dominikonų streets are no less than the capitals of Western Europe and invite you to enjoy the fabulous Christmas decor with cocoa and gingerbread.

The town of miracles

While preparing for the Christmas marathon, the community of Vilnius Glass Quarter is trying to surprise each other for the fifth year in a row, as only they know how. And they are already ready for that on November 11 - St. Martin's Day, which symbolizes the end of the autumn season and the beginning of waiting for Christmas. On that day, the local community decorates the city with traditional and modern Christmas decorations to celebrate the festival of light and abundant table.

Everywhere you look - shop windows, doors or courtyards - everything is simply surprising with ingenious installations that require a lot of creativity. It is perhaps not surprising that the citizens and guests of the capital willingly take pictures of the Christmas decorations that take away the promise. The Christmas fairy tale is no less felt in the interior spaces of cafes, interior, art, jewelry and flower boutiques, where imported collections of glass toys are exhibited.

Julija Janus, the author of the initiatives of the Glass Quarter, landscape designer and curator of the open art gallery "ARTerija", says that the community members of this quarter of the old town regularly win contests for the most beautiful Christmas window displays announced by the Vilnius municipality: "Whenever I hear from passers-by that the Christmas warmth fills my heart while walking in these cozy streets , for us it is the coolest compliment, because we all try very hard to create an ever-greater Christmas miracle every time."

He looks for inspiration in his own way

The decoration of the facade of the legendary "Ponių hanųų" located here is traditionally taken care of by the country's most famous decorator, Mantas Petruškevičius, who placed tiny sugar guards next to the giant macaroons.

The nearby "Augustus and Barboras" love story cafe is immersed in the snow-covered thicket of the forest.

Restaurant In the "Bear" courtyard, a luminous bear has been awakened from a sweet sleep for the festive period. Designer Egla Tautkutas mostly comes up with ideas for Christmas decorations here, whose ideas are usually implemented by her colleague Rišardas, the owner of golden hands.

A considerable challenge awaited the "Senatoriu pasažo" family, when it was necessary to stretch a ten-meter-high green curtain. The natural spruce was simply rolled in here, with the help of heavy equipment and the help of neighbors. Although the courtyard of the arcade is illuminated with lamps all year round, this year the facade sparkled with a new garland of lamps, which decorated not only this building, but also the entire Dominikonoi Street. Traditionally, those who come here will be greeted by Rudolph the red-nosed deer, who this year is also supported by Santa Claus created by the artist Jurgis Malinauskas.

"We are located in one of the most impressive historical places in Vilnius, which is important for city residents and guests of the capital. During the big holidays of the year, we turn these spaces into a place of joyful meetings, where everyone will feel the true spirit of Christmas", - assures the founder of "Senatoriu Passage", Danish businessman Niels Peter Pretzmann.
