Firefighters and rescuers of the 6th team of the Vilnius Fire Rescue Board of the Department of Fire Protection and Rescue together with the Public Emergency Medical Service of the station Today, August 20, at 17 p.m., the medical staff will hold a preventive action "Safe behavior in water" at the beach of Lake Balsi. Officers and medics will introduce vacationers near the water body to the rules of safe behavior in the water, teach them how to provide first aid to a drowning person, and demonstrate how to correctly perform artificial respiration.
This is not the first promotion this year event near the water bodies, which is organized by the Vilnius Fire Rescue Board. During this campaign, vacationing residents are taught safe behavior in the water. This year, for the first time, the medics of the Public Emergency Medical Service, who are in close contact with the Vilnius Fire Rescue Board, participated in this event for the first time this year.
