The community officers of the First Police Commissariat of the Vilnius County Chief Police Commissariat of the City of Vilnius together with Vilnius city municipalities Public order and Pavilniai and Verkiau Regional Parks Directorate employees continue patrolling the bike paths in the park areas.
During the preventive measure, the aim is to identify problem areas on bicycle paths and ensure safe recreation for people. Bicycle paths are often visited by fast-moving cyclists, which create dangerous situations, so it is planned to publish information on the safe behavior of cyclists on the paths in the future. When patrolling, the officers do not bypass the beaches of the Green Lakes, which are popular and heavily visited by vacationers on hot summer days. Unfortunately, not all vacationers follow the rules of public order, so officers often have to hand out warnings about drinking alcohol in a public place or careless behavior near water. The joint measures of the representatives of the responsible institutions help to quickly identify existing problems and promptly find solutions aimed at ensuring that visiting the parks is not only a pleasant, but also a safe time spent.
