On July 11-12, more than 40 delegations of NATO member countries and partner countries and teams of journalists from each country are expected in Lithuania, in total - about 5-7 thousand. people. The official reception of the leaders of the NATO member countries and their second parties encouraged the Presidency to purchase its own representative dishes.
The representatives of the Presidency note that the representative tableware of the country's producers, which would meet the standards of the highest level of receptions and present the President's institution to the guests, has been purchased not only for this dinner, but also for all future official receptions of foreign heads of state at the Presidential Palace.
"Until now, the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Lithuania had to rent standard dishes offered by food suppliers for every event," explains the answer given to the portal lrytas.lt.
According to publicly available information, on March 22 of this year, the Office of the President concluded a low-value purchase-sale agreement with the company "Kauno Jiesia" for thin bone china tableware.
The value of the order is 54 euros.
A total of 480 gilded plates with a diameter of 26,5 cm and another 120 smaller plates with a diameter of 20 cm were ordered. The edge of each plate is decorated with a 4 mm gold border, on the edge of the plate there is a 4 cm long golden coat of arms of the President of the Republic of Lithuania.
Also - 120 coffee cups and 30 tea cups with saucers. The cups are decorated with a thin gold border at the top, a thick gold border at the bottom, the top of the handle is golden, the sides are thinly bordered. On the cup there is a 3 cm long golden coat of arms of the President of the Republic of Lithuania. The plates are decorated with a narrow gold border.
All ordered dishes are 12% gold-plated. gold and made of fine bone china.
