The chief epidemiologist of Lithuania, Loreta Ašoklienė, says that in Poland the incidence rate is 15,7 cases per 100. population, so it is likely that it will be added to the list of affected countries next Friday.
"In perspective, we hear that more and more sick people are being registered with them, the situation needs to be monitored, but the indicator is very close to the limit," she said at a press conference on Friday.
According to the epidemiologist, if the number of cases in Poland grows rapidly, it may be added to the list of affected countries even earlier.
"If there were very significant changes, it might be considered," explained L. Ašoklienė.
According to her, in Latvia and in Estonia, the incidence rate is the same - 2,6 cases per 100. population, in Lithuania it reaches 5,7 cases per 100 thousand. population.
