At the meeting of the coordination commission for the implementation of the centenary commemoration program of the restoration of the state of Lithuania, the projects implemented by the centenary commemoration program and the financing of the celebration itself were discussed.
During the meeting, the first one dedicated to the trust of the upcoming Century was also presented event, which on July 6 will invite all Lithuanians of the world to sing the National Anthem on 100 Lithuanian mounds.
"On State Day, by singing the National Anthem together on 100 Lithuanian mounds and all over the world, we will celebrate the centenary of restored Lithuania. I invite everyone to join this beautiful initiative and to call on their friends and relatives to sing the anthem, if not on one of the selected mounds, then at least in the circle of relatives", said the Prime Minister, who himself plans to celebrate the symbolic beginning of the Centenary celebration on Dubingiai, inviting the people of Lithuania to celebrate the upcoming Centenary. mound.
Taking into account the request of the World Lithuanian Community, the proposal to emphasize the contribution of Lithuanians living abroad in the Centennial Program was approved at the Commission meeting.
"Every Lithuanian is important to us, wherever he is, because everyone contributed to the restoration of statehood and continues to contribute to its nurturing. We greatly appreciate the comments and contribution of the World Lithuanian Community to the Centenary Program", said Minister of Culture Liana Ruokytė Jonsson.
The implementation of the centenary activities is gaining momentum. State institutions, municipalities and NGOs are actively involved in the preparations for the Centenary celebration.
"Such active participation of non-governmental organizations and public institutions in the Centenary Initiatives Competition shows public interest and interest in the upcoming Centenary, which is very pleasing," says Neringa Vaisbrode, Centenary Program Coordinator.
The Ministry of Social Security and Labor announced an additional program to promote local community initiatives (2,6 million euros). This program is in line with one of the main directions of the Centenary, which specifically aims to promote volunteerism and community.

In commemoration of the centenary of the restoration of the State, it is planned to gather the people of Lithuania to celebrate the birthday of the restored Lithuania, to encourage pride in their country, to be important and active participants in the life of their country, as well as to increase the recognition of Lithuania abroad.
