Vilnius city municipality invites all active citizens of Vilnius to participate in the elections of elders, which will be held in 2018. May 14-27
How will everything go?
• On May 14-27, candidates will register and conduct the survey. Filled and signed forms for the election of elders are accepted until May 28. (countable). May 29-31 the election commission will evaluate the results.
• If less than 5 percent of the voters of the senate will participate in the survey, repeated elections will be held on June 11-24. You can participate in them only until May 27. registered candidates and participated on May 14-27 in the survey and after submitting the completed questionnaires to the election commission.
Who can be an elder?
A candidate for eldership can be an adult resident of the eldership who has declared his place of residence in the eldership where his candidacy is proposed for eldership.
A person who:
• found guilty of a serious or very serious crime in accordance with the procedure established by law and has an unexpired or unexpunged criminal record;
• is a member of an organization prohibited by law;
• is a member of the council of that municipality, director of the municipal administration, municipal controller, civil servant of the municipal administration;
• is recognized by the court as incompetent in a certain area.
