He studied and got healthy faster. Vilnius Santariškių Hospital was transformed into a mini-workshop of old crafts for almost the entire year, which brightened up the everyday life of the hospital. Various educational activities were held in the hospital, during which young patients and their caring parents gained knowledge about old crafts, tested old technologies, and developed imagination and creativity.
In this medical facility, a unique project conceived and carried out by VšĮ "Amaťi gildija" named "Crafts school in the children's hospital" was recently completed. During these sessions, children and adults learned such old crafts as ceramics, fabric printing, felting, jewelry, wicker weaving, garden tying, leatherwork, sewing, ribbon weaving, tying and stitching, spinning, bone and horn processing, birch toning, stained glass. , paper marbling. All classes were conducted and the intricacies of the craft were revealed by various masters of traditional crafts from VšĮ "Amatų gildija", Vilnius Association of Fine Crafts, Ukmergė Cultural Center, craftsman club "Dvaro meistrai", experimental archeology club "Pajauta". All of these craftsmen are professionals in their fields, many of them are certified masters of national heritage, participating in educational activities abroad. A large part of these craftsmen are historians and archaeologists.

In order to know a nation, it is necessary to know its main occupations and businesses, work tools, buildings, customs, I think the originators of this project.
Such classes were useful not only for the small patients, but also for the craftsmen themselves. It was a great opportunity for them to pass on their knowledge to the younger generation and learn to work and communicate with sick children.
The aim of this project is to expand the educational activities of children and youth and adults, presenting the national heritage of Lithuania, creating conditions for the transferability, continuity and dissemination of the ethnic culture of the region.

The general period of project implementation is from January 2018 to December 9, 18.
Educational sessions were held every Tuesday, 50 times.
This project is ongoing. For four years, 2014-2017, VšĮ "Amatų gildija" carried out the same project with the same name, partially financed by the Lithuanian Council of Culture. These educational sessions have been a great success and received great appreciation from Vilnius University the staff of the hospital's Santariškii Clinic, as well as the young patients and their parents.
