As the third world war approaches in Ukraine anniversary, the third support campaign "Radarom!" begins. During the initiative, LRT, together with the organizations "Blue / Yellow", "Laisvės TV" and "Stiprūs kartu" (Strong Together), invites Lithuanian residents and businesses to donate and purchase drones and anti-drones needed by Ukraine.
"Drones and anti-drones are extremely necessary for the Ukrainian military. Drones ensure a quick response to enemy attacks, allow for reconnaissance and other tasks, while anti-drones prevent the enemy from reaching soldiers or striking important objects. As possible peace negotiations approach, Ukraine needs to consolidate its strongest possible positions," writes lrt.lt.
It is reported that two-thirds of the funds raised during the campaign will be allocated to drones and anti-drones manufactured in Lithuania, and the remaining third to purchase equipment manufactured in Ukraine.
The campaign will run for three weeks, until February 24. The initiative will culminate in a special broadcast on LRT television, radio and the portal on February 23.
In 2023, the first "Radarom!" campaign raised about 14 million euros in support, and last year - more than 8,5 million euros.
