At the end of September, the officers of the third police commissariat of the city of Vilnius arrested a drug seller and a buyer in a pre-trial investigation into the illegal distribution of narcotic substances.
During the searches, narcotic substances were found and taken, the means for packaging and weighing them, money, possibly obtained from the distribution of narcotic substances, the police reported.
During the pre-trial investigation, the officers of the Third Police Commissariat of the city of Vilnius established that the man works in a fairly serious and prestigious job and drives a luxury car.
At the end of September, a person who bought cocaine from him was arrested.
The arrested buyer immediately admitted to the officers that he had narcotics and kept them hidden in a "secret place" - in his underpants.
During the search of the person, it was found that the man had about 200 grams of cocaine with him. Soon, the person who sold these drugs was also arrested, who had about 100 grams of cocaine with him and several other bags of this narcotic substance in small "doses".
After a search of the drug dealer, about 100 grams of unpackaged cocaine and 70 zip-lock transparent polyethylene bags containing cocaine, believed to be 1 gram each, were found in the car, prepackaged for further distribution.
During the continuation of the searches, about 900 grams of cocaine were found and seized in the premises used by the dealer and in his residence, which had already been divided into various amounts of 10, 20, 30, 50, 100, 200 grams.
"This indicates that the person had different levels of what you might call drug buyers, and possibly people who bought drugs and sold them to other people," police said.
One gram of cocaine, when bought by the gram, depending on the seller and the quality, can be around 80-120 euros.
A man suspected of drug distribution was given the strictest pre-trial detention - two months' detention after the accusation was made.
The person who bought the drugs was given a milder pretrial detention.
A person who distributes drugs faces imprisonment from 10 to 15 years.
The pre-trial investigation is conducted by the officers of the Criminal Police Organized Crime Investigation Board of the Vilnius County Chief Police Commissariat, it is organized and led by the prosecutor of the Organized Crime and Corruption Investigation Department of the Vilnius District Prosecutor's Office.
