Police swimmer Rūta Meilutyte was fined 300 euros for driving without the right to drive.

As Reda Zarauskienė, the representative of the Kaunas County Chief Police Commissariat, pointed out to Elta, R. Meilutyte was also deprived of the right to drive a vehicle for 9 months in addition to a fine.
This decision has not yet entered into force, it can be appealed to the court.
ELTA reminds that in October of this year, swimmer R. Meilutytė, while driving a BMW car, Beautiful, on Jonava Street, hit a Toyota Yaris, thus causing an accident.
Both drivers were sober, no one was injured in the accident.
According to the police, it turned out that the swimmer R. Meilutytė sat at the wheel without having the right to drive, this right was taken away from her.
According to the Kaunas County Chief Police Commissariat, R. Meilutytė lost her right to drive vehicles when, as a novice driver, she committed violations of road traffic rules, which required her to complete additional driver's training and did not complete it.
