A Spanish citizen was killed and a Lithuanian was among the injured when a DHL cargo plane crashed in Vilnius on Monday morning.
"There were four members of the aircraft crew - two Spanish citizens, one German and one Lithuanian," Julija Samorokovskaja, representative of the Vilnius District Chief Police Commissariat, told BNS on Monday.
"One of the Spaniards is dead," she added.
Pray Vilnius airport the fallen plane hit a house where 12 people were, but all the residents were saved.
According to J. Samorokovskaya, there is no information about the age of the crew members yet. She only added that the documents of a man born in 1969 were found at the scene. It is not yet clear which of them they belong to.
In the event of an accident, a pre-trial investigation is conducted for improper maintenance of vehicles or roads and violations of international flight rules.
The downed aircraft belonged to the Spanish airline Swift Air and was used for DHL shipments. He flew from the German city of Leipzig.
