On Sunday, Kęstas Plauška from Vilnius captured an unusual sight near Juodkrantė - an unusual sight for our region thrown on the coast of the Baltic Sea fish. About 160 cm long swordfish or swordfish.
"I came up with a challenge for myself over the weekend. After arriving at the seaside, I decided to take the bus to Nida and return to Klaipėda on foot. I thought maybe I would have some adventures. So I go to myself and see that the swordfish is lying right next to the water. It was something like that, because I myself am a former scientist and I have heard that there were such discoveries here, but I myself did not expect to see such a sight," says Kęstas Plauška.
He asserts that sometimes there are such cases when swordfish swim into the Baltic Sea from the North Sea with the current, but do not survive for long due to the excessive difference in water salinity.
"You can see that the swordfish was washed quite recently, because there was no smell and it looks completely normal," the man claims.
The man from Vilnius also informed the scientists.
