President Gitanas Nauseda congratulated Republican Donald Trump on winning the United States (JAV) presidential elections.

"Transatlantic unity is very important!", he emphasized.
The head of state also emphasized that Washington is a strategic partner of Lithuania.
"The United States of America is the main strategic ally of Lithuania. Both of us take our security seriously. Currently, Lithuania spends 3,5% on defense. GDP will continue to increase investment,” he added.
Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican D. Trump are competing for the presidency of the United States. According to initial data, the Republican candidate is winning the election.
