President Gitanas Nauseda invited French President Emmanuel Macron to Lithuania for an official visit.
G. Nausėda invited E. Macron and his wife Brigitte while congratulating France on the occasion of Bastille Day.
"I am sure that your visit to Lithuania would be particularly valuable in drawing guidelines for further cooperation between Lithuania and France, both bilaterally and at the level of the continent and the entire transatlantic community," said G. Nausėda in his greeting.
"This would be an important symbol for the young generation of Europeans who are determined to work responsibly for their continent," the president said.
Congratulating France on the occasion of Bastille Day, G. Nausėda wished people harmony, all kinds of success and prosperity.
On the occasion of Bastille Day, Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis also congratulated France.
