InMedica Clinics and Kardiolitas Clinics have a new name

Press release

The largest private medical service providers in Lithuania, InMedica Clinics, Kardiolitas Clinics and VIC Dental Clinics, are changing their names and starting to operate under a new common brand – Meliva. This change marks a new stage of development, which will be characterized by international experience, advanced digital innovations and a unified mission of an international network of clinics operating in Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Germany and Lithuania.

According to Kęstutis Broniukaitis, CEO of InMedica Group, which will now be called Meliva Lietuva, this step will ensure even higher quality of services, wider opportunities, and new digital services for patients.

"We are proud to have joined a large international network. For us, this means, first of all, recognition that clinics operating in Lithuania meet the highest Scandinavian quality standards. In addition, we will now be able to share our good experience with a very broad community of professionals throughout Europe," says K. Broniukaitis.

He emphasizes that the essential aspects important to patients – the attention and dedication of highly qualified doctors to their work, which are highly valued – will remain unchanged: “We are pleased to have assembled an extremely strong team of doctors, nurses and other medical staff who care for patients in as many as 84 clinics and 5 laboratories throughout Lithuania. Although we are starting the process of changing the name of the clinics, once we open the doors of our clinics, you will continue to find your beloved specialists there, ready to take care of you every day.”

"Meliva" - a lifelong mission

The new brand Meliva, entering the healthcare sector, belongs to the well-known and recognized private healthcare and social services provider Mehiläinen, which completed the acquisition of the InMedica Group in March this year. Meliva continues the long-standing traditions of Mehiläinen, which operates in Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Germany and Lithuania, basing its operations on the core values of care, close connection and dedication to patient well-being.

The story of the Mehiläinen company, of which we have become a part, is not about the business, the events of the company, but about the people who create it. Since its inception, this organization has grown with one clear goal – to help people. And that radiant dedication, sincere care and a strong sense of mission are what have driven this organization forward and set it apart from other healthcare companies. These values are close to us, so we wholeheartedly adopt them as our own, committing ourselves to continuing the Meliva mission,” says Ernesta Juodviršienė, Marketing Manager of Meliva Lietuvos.

According to E. Juodviršienė, the brand's slogan "Mission for Life" conveys the essence of the organization - to be close to people at every step: "We work for what is most precious in the world - for life. Our every word and action stems from care, compassion and strong professional responsibility. Our work is a mission that guides us, inspires us and gives meaning to every day."

The names will be changed gradually

In order to make the transition from the current brands to the new one as smooth as possible, the changeover process will take place in several stages.

"Indeed, this is a sensitive process. We greatly appreciate everything that has been created - brands that have existed for many years contain so many years of unity, employees' dedication to their profession and the earned trust of patients - these are values that we cherish very much. Respecting this experience and wanting to give both employees and our patients time to get used to it, we will gradually enter the new name phase: for some time we will see both names in our environment - the current ones and the new brand "Meliva", later only the name "Meliva" will remain, which will gradually become a part of our everyday life", - comments E. Juodviršienė.

According to K. Broniukaitis, during the rebranding period, it is extremely important to further strengthen patient trust: "People often associate the name of the clinic with a sense of security, habits or favorite specialists, so we understand very well that this change may raise questions. However, the most important message is that the name is changing, not the values. Everything that patients have valued for many years in the clinics they have known will remain: doctors, nurses and the highest standards of service quality - we are transferring all the accumulated experience to a new stage."

New digital healthcare services for Lithuanian residents

Along with the new name, digital healthcare service innovations will also reach patients.

Mehiläinen, a pioneer in digital healthcare, has over 2 million registered users of its healthcare mobile app in Finland, and its digital solutions are available in 11 different countries in both the private and public healthcare sectors. This experience will also be applied to Lithuanian patients, aiming to improve the accessibility and convenience of healthcare services - starting today, a virtual clinic and mobile app "Meliva Lietuva" are launching in Lithuania.

“With this virtual clinic and mobile app, top-quality healthcare services will become easier and faster to access throughout Lithuania. If a medical consultation is needed, patients will be able to contact their family doctors via a chat app that will be available from early morning to late evening, including weekends and public holidays – this will reduce waiting times and make it easy to get help from the comfort of your home,” says Andreas Taalas, Business Line Director for the Baltics at Mehiläinen.

The mobile app will also allow you to easily register for clinic visits electronically, consult with doctors virtually (by texting), receive referrals, and conveniently view your medical records, prescriptions, and test results.

Under the new common name of the clinic, Meliva, it will continue to expand and improve healthcare throughout Lithuania, ensuring that patients receive modern and high-quality services both digitally and in-person.
