Last year, the absolute poverty line was set at 260 euros per month per inhabitant and 546 euros for a family of four with two children under 14 years of age.
Income below the absolute poverty line received 2,6 percent last year. cities (in the five largest cities - 2,1 percent, in other cities - 3,3 percent) and 6,7 percent. - villagers.
The absolute poverty level of pensioners in 2021 was 1,9 percent. and, compared to 2020, decreased by 2,4 percent.
Among the employed, 1 percent was below the absolute poverty line, among the unemployed - 24,3 percent, and among old-age pensioners - 2,2 percent. The level of absolute poverty among the employed did not change during the year, among the unemployed - it decreased by 7,4 percentage points, and among old-age pensioners - by 3 percentage points.
The poverty risk level in 2021 reached 20%, and last year about 560 thousand people lived below this limit. population. During the year, these indicators decreased by 0,9 percent, respectively. and 4 percent (in 2020 – 20,9 percent and 585 thousand, respectively).
The poverty risk threshold was 483 euros per month for one person and 1015 euros for a family. It was the highest in the group of 65 years and older - 35,9 percent. and has hardly changed during the year.
The poverty risk level of children under the age of 18 decreased by 2,8 percent. up to 17,2 percent, people aged 18-64 - 0,7 percent. up to 5,6 percent
