The Migration Department informs that from Monday, March 7, Lithuanian citizens will be served at the Migration Department's branches only after pre-booking a visit at www.migracija.lt.
Citizens arriving without prior reservation will not be served. The exception applies only to those who wish to obtain a passport on the same day and who apply for this service at the Vilnius branch of the Migration Department (Vytenio St. 18).
Such a decision of the Migration Department was made taking into account the extraordinary situation introduced in Lithuania and the increased need for assistance for Ukrainian citizens coming to Lithuania due to hostilities in their country.
"First of all, we have to help the people of Ukraine," says Evelina Gudzinskaitė, director of the Migration Department. - I am asking for the understanding and patience of Lithuanian citizens. As soon as we see that we can resume the reception of Lithuanian citizens in a straight line, we will do so."
